Prime Minister Narendra Modi shook hands and talked with his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif for a few minutes in Paris yesterday,as the 21st session of the Conference of Parties or COP21, the global summit on climate change, began.
Three months after official talks between their nations broke down amid escalating diplomatic tensions and cross-border violence.
A picture released by the Indian Foreign Ministry on Monday showed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart, Nawaz Sharif offered a double handshake to a smiling Mr. Sharif.
A video, released by Mr. Sharif’s office, also captured the two leaders sitting side by side on a couch, deep in conversation.
Neither side has so far disclosed what the leaders were talking about or how long the meeting lasted
